Poll: 79% of Texans Support Expanding Medical Cannabis Access

A new University of Houston survey finds that 62% of Texans support adult-use cannabis legalization, while 79% favor expanding medical marijuana access. Despite widespread bipartisan and demographic support, Texas lawmakers remain reluctant to ease some of the country’s most restrictive cannabis laws. The findings suggest growing public pressure for reform in the 2025 legislative session, though state leaders show little indication of immediate change.
